25 February Australia - Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement entered into force February 25, 2020 By Jenny Le General trade agreement, A-HKFTA 0 The trade agreement with Hong Kong entered into force on 17 January 2020. A-HKFTA provides Australian businesses greater certainty to trade and investment activities in Hong Kong. Under this FTA zero tariffs will be locked-in on goods, market access will be guaranteed for services suppliers, and conditions for two-way investment will be significantly improved. It will lock in continued access to the Hong Kong Market for Australian exporters of education, financial and professional services, as well as guarantee that Hong Kong will not apply tariffs to Australian goods in the future.
