Visit Victoria 'Stay close, go further' campaign overview & toolkit

With the easing of restrictions and the opportunity for Melburnian’s and Regional Victorian’s to come together, Minister Martin Pakula has launched Visit Victoria’s new intrastate marketing campaign, Stay close, go further.

This fully-integrated campaign is a call-to-arms to get all Victorians moving by reigniting their passion for their home state. The campaign is also designed to help rebuild Victoria’s visitor economy by supporting local jobs and businesses, helping them to bounce back after a tough 2020.

To get a flavour for the campaign, below are some key documents.

With all of this activity driving to Visit Victoria’s website there is an increase volume of consumers searching, planning and booking. There is no better time than now to ensure that you take advantage of these campaigns.

HOW CAN ACCOMMODATION OPERATORS GET INVOLVED IN THE CAMPAIGNS?

  1. Create or update their Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing
    • Ensure you include compelling packages (staycations for Melbourne properties) under your listing
    • Include current and appealing photos.
    • Review your staycation packages regularly.

  2. BOOK DIRECT OPTION NOW AVAILABLE
    • Book Direct, go via a third party or both.  You can choose the call-to-action button on your site

  3. Listings on ATDW are currently free for Victorian tourism businesses for a 12 month period (valued at $295) for any business who creates or renews a listing prior to June 30, 2021

  4. Any questions including the book direct option contact the ATDW support team at atdwsupport@visitvictoria.com.au

An ATDW listing provides you with exposure on key online platforms at a national, state and local level. ATDW listings are used by Visit Victoria, Tourism Australia and many regional tourism organisations to showcase tourism businesses and events on their consumer facing websites.

You can learn all about the campaign and how you can get involved on Visit Victoria's corporate website.
